A small car on a narrow road for a long time.... makes me very nervous! We took a little road trip out to a small town called Todos Santos. The drive out there was filled with beautiful mountains, an ocean front view, and great old mexico deserts. There is a drawback to taking this beautiful roadtrip... the very scary drivers on a 2-way highway. Everyone wants to go as fast as their car will let them and will bypass anyone in the way. (Even if its on a curve in the road!)
Just before Todos Santos, we were told of a great beach that is a must see. "Just pull off the highway at mile marker 67.." we thought the directions were quite strange, until we got there and realized there was hardly a sign acknowledging this beach.
Apparently, this beach was rated #3 for surfing in the world.
I loved the locals hanging out in their surfer hut. 
For anyone who feels bad that I have not sent them a post card since I have been here for so long... this is why. 
I am not quite sure why there is a post office (condemned or not) or even mailboxes. There is NO mail system here. 
The shopping was great in Todos Santos.
For any of you who know the song "Welcome to the Hotel California" by the Eagles, that hotel is in Todos Santos! 
I loved the color in all of the decor.
After a long day on the road and out in the heat, we headed back... just berily beating the sunlight. No lights anywhere could have made an even scarier ride home!
