What the?!

Noooo this is not a early April Fools joke... this was my day today in MN.  I mean seriously....what is going on here!! Yesterday was beautiful outside. Well.. it felt like it as it was in the high 40's. Haha.  Although the snow capped trees are beautiful... I am sooo ready for that trail to be green and filled with rays of sunshine.

Quinton Austin

This is my friend Chelle whom I have known since I was ...hmm... 10 years old! Woah Chelle, I didn't realize it had been so many years. This is her and her wonderful husband, Andrew, and her baby belly. This was over a month ago and now their little man has arrived!
 Welcome Quinton!

Quin smiled as soon as daddy came home from work. I loved this connection.

Chelle Looks fabulous!

Quinton inherited some beautiful blue eyes and such perfect little lips.

New Product

I am going to be offering some new products to my clients. This is one sample of many that I will be posting this week. This cutie pie is Faith, from my Faith and Wyatt post. There are other words that can be added to these story boards. This one reads. Precious. valued and cherished, loved, priceless and delightful. This storyboard in particular is a 10x20 and can be mounted on heavy matboard or printed on canvas.

Malik + Chanda

I had the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful wedding today. Thank you for letting me be a part of this day with you. Here is a sneak peek of a couple of my favorite images so far.

These are two of Chanda's five gorgeous children. They were very shy at first, but warmed up to me quickly when they found the pink butterfly in my camera ;) I love this image.

Have fun on the cruise! More images to come...

Patience

GRRR.....Today was one of those days that makes you feel absolutely crazy. I know that God tests you time and time again, often to make you better in an area you struggle in. In my life it is patience. I don't like waiting, wondering....and today was filled with that. It seemed like everything went wrong. Computer issues, awaited phone calls that never came, disappointing checks in the mail.... I would vent about it further... but I don't want to speak the worst into existence (The Secret- for any of you who have read the book) So, I will fight the urge to completely lose it about my day today. I have to have faith that this is another test and I must push through it. My mom always tells me to be quiet and still, it is then that you will hear God's voice and his guidance. I am working on it.

I am blessed

I haven't had a chance to blog anything real personal to me... until today.
Meet my mom.
She is the most important person in my entire life. I  know that is so cliche to say...yea yea yea... my mom is my hero type of cliche...but seriously she is the rock in my life. In my 26 years of living, I have never met anyone so selfless, so sincere, giving, caring and encouraging. She has never judged me for any of my choices or came down hard on me for my mistakes. She is always giving me spiritual guidance for anything and loves to share what God has planned for us next.  I have been so lucky to have such a close relationship with her as I grew up and even now as an adult. I am so blessed to have someone in my life that I know I can ALWAYS count on no matter what is at hand. She loves me for who I am, and I would never change a thing about her. She has made me who I am.
Blog meet my mom.

We were laughing at absolutely nothing... so hard to the point where I nearly fell off the chair I was standing on. It was the highlight of my Easter day. I adore this photo because it says who she is. Light hearted, full of life, and soooooooo funny!!! Any of my friends can contest to this.

Iowa Bound

Hello to all my lovely Iowa clients. You are all sooo good to me and I had such a great time there in the fall... I am coming back! I know there were many people I didn't get a chance to shoot.. and many more that I look forward to meeting. I am planning on coming in town April 24th- 27th.(Thursday-Sunday) Hopefully all this coldness will hit the road by then! I will take as many appointments as the lovely daylight permits! Please shoot me an email and let me know which day/time works best for you. I will be working all day, everyday that I am there. (My subtle down time will be watching my friend Shani jump at the Drake relays on Sat afternoon. I will still be taking appointments that day) Thanks to Shani's mom, Gloria, for being my personal Iowa rep. She has been so supportive of my passion!

Wyatt & Faith

Today I had a chance to play with Wyatt and Faith. Wyatt is an absolute ham for the camera and Faith is such a little sweetheart who loves her big brother. I pretty much just ran around the house with Wyatt all morning to keep him interested in taking pictures. Everywhere we went he would take my hand.... sooo cute. Then he would say "Faith turn, Faith turn".... and would come sit in my lap while I photographed his sister.  I had such a great time with them.
I love how Wyatt's eyes pop off this chocolate brown couch.

Faith had a great Easter bonnet that brought out her beautiful blue eyes... and look at that little smile.
Two year old boy + Four month old girl= a "must have" quick finger on the shutter.  :)
I owe this image to mom!
These next two images are so peaceful and quiet. LOVE them.

Wyatt loves his tractors..but I found this great antique truck. I even let him drive it on the wooden table. Sorry mom ;)

Go Huskies!

I got to hang out with one of my favorite families today at a hockey game. Their oldest daughter had her championship hockey game and they invited me along. I am not typically a sports photographer but I think I got some great shots. I absolutely LOVE this one off Grace Ann.... she was anxiously awaiting to get out on that ice.
Little Brother George was screaming and cheering the whole game. I could hear him across the ice.... but it did wear him out a bit.
But I think he is looking up to his big sis Grace Ann.... do we have a future hockey star?

This is dad... he gets the girls rallied while they wait to get on the ice.
Go Grace Ann! She did an awesome job!

Miss Lauren is Grace Ann's little sister. She was a great little cheerleader.
