Awaiting a baby girl...

To anyone who follows my blog... no fear.. I am still alive. I did not die of heat stroke in Cabo, or severe depression when coming back to the Mn. I am back in full effect with lots of holiday orders coming through! I guess I really never left the full swing as I worked every day while on vacation, just a little different when you are looking out at the ocean and breathing in the warm air. It was a much needed break from life at home. But now back to reality.. back to any troubles that lurked me before I left... and continue to sting me everyday.
Ok sorry for the melodrama... just had to do a minor vent :)

One of my first sessions back was a great mom to be of another little girl. I really really hope my body looks this good when, someday I have a baby.

Ummm probably my favorite shot of the day..
I love the connection that Jodi and Jay share... He loved that fact that I gave absolutely no direction... so he just nuzzled up next to his beautiful girl.

Great looking belly.

Rockin' the serious face.. all 3 of them worked it!

Love it.
She kept laughing at me cuz I kept trying to make her say "I'm cute..." . I never did get her to say it, but it did make her give me this bashful laugh.
Love the feel here.
Fun family shot... huh?!
She just radiates.
More to come Jodi! :) All three of you guys made the session a breeze. You look fabulous and am so glad you decided to capture your body during this time!

A birthday vacation

Well I have been in Cabo San Lucas for the past week and some as a birthday present from my dad. I have been quite busy with work down here, otherwise I would have been blogging my trip more. Tomorrow is my last day for fun in the sun. Here are some fun shots from the past week.

I love the kiddos out on the beach.

Ok so I know this may be horrible with the dos equis in the background.. but I couldn't resist with her cute little mexican purse and covered in sand.
A little family fun at the beach.
A great sunset from the beach club.

The gorgeous Desiree + fun family

A little shy... a little nervous... many kids are when they first arrive to portrait sessions. Once Desiree and I started talking & joking, she really loosened up and her personality came through. She is so beautiful and was a dream to shoot!

Look at her perfect curls and big brown eyes.

What a fun shot of Desiree and Dad.
Look at those two beauties!
Love this candid shot.
Oh how I loooovve this look from her. Shows off her shy side.
My absolute favorite shot from the day. Could be on a greeting card :)

A Day at the Apple Orchard

I got to spend one of the last 65 degree days in MN with a couple of my favorite little ones. Wyatt is my buddy and loves sitting on my lap to help me get his little sister, Faith, laughing. The family and I headed out to an apple orchard to catch some great fall colors, and a fun vintage truck. I couldn't have spent my day any other way.

Mom brought this fabulous tu-tu that was just so dang cute on Faith! Her outfits were so well put together. Look at those baby blues!
Wyatt LOVES tractors!
I love this little scrunched face from Faith.

A little help from Wyatt.
Grandma & Grandpa were in town and it was great to include them in the shoot.

Punky Brewster a.k.a India

Does anyone remember the 80's tv show, Punky Brewster?? Well, it happened to be one of my absolute favorite shows. I had long lost forgot about this show until I met this spunky girl at a photo shoot last week. Everything about her reminded me of Punky Brewester.. her striking eyes.. freckles, smile, hair, and vivacious attitude.

This shoot was for some fun shots to get her foot in the door of acting. She really had fun playing around with my imaginary scenes we were in and acting out. I think she really felt comfortable.. and her personality was able to shine through.

How fun are these colors! Sporty Spice?

She really "worked" the props that we used during the session. (And I say worked bc the whole time I kept saying.. come on...wooorrkkk it wooorrrkk it! ) Ha!
Gimme some sass...
Totally her workin' it.  "Just go over there and work that doorway :)"
This was actually a completely natural shot. I was actually trying to get her to be serious.. I think she got bored with me and started playing around with her necklace...loved it.
Oh man! Look at those gorgeous eyes. (Go ahead and click on the image to make it bigger... then you can really see those beauties!)
India... you are beautiful. You have such a unique look... one that really stands out from others. Stay true to your heart and whatever you want to do... you will succeed!
